Your managers aren't the problem. Nobody showed them what to do in the moment.

I work with organisations on the daily moments most leadership programs skip. The conversation that keeps getting put off. The 1:1 that's turned into a status update. The good person who's quietly getting ready to leave.

Organisations usually call when...

01

The program ran. Six months later, it's the same issues.

Everyone enjoyed the training. Then Monday came and nothing really changed.

02

The real conversation happens in the car park.

People nod in the meeting, then say what they actually think on the way out.

03

Good people are leaving.

And when you look closely, it keeps tracing back to the same few managers.

None of that means your people are the problem. Usually nobody's shown them what to do in those moments. That part can be taught.

How workplaces work with me

Everything is built on the Relational Leadership Method and shaped around what's actually going on in your workplace. Most engagements end up being a mix.

1:1 coaching for your managers

Direct work with one manager on the real situations in front of them, starting with a diagnostic of how they actually lead under pressure.

Her strength lies in her deep understanding of leadership and team dynamics, and her ability to translate this into practical, well-structured models that managers can readily apply. I would highly recommend her to any organisation looking to strengthen leadership capability.

About Brooke

The work comes from rooms where avoiding the conversation wasn't an option.

15 years leading in community services. Child risk and wellbeing, family violence, sexual assault. Sectors where a manager avoiding a hard conversation doesn't cost a KPI, it costs a person.

That's where the Relational Leadership Method comes from, and it's what I bring into every workplace I work with.

Brooke Baxter, collabbWAY. Creator of the Relational Leadership Method. Sessional teaching in social work at Deakin University.
